National Audit Reveals Gaps in Emergency Housing Readiness

A newly released State Comptroller report has found that multiple municipalities lack sufficient emergency housing capacity for residents displaced during conflict or natural disaster. The audit highlighted delays in construction, outdated evacuation infrastructure, and inconsistent coordination with national agencies.

The Ministry of Interior responded by saying new funding directives are already being developed, while local officials argue that resources have not kept pace with population growth and regional threats.

Public policy organizations are calling for a unified national standard and long-term accountability framework.
