About The New York Globe
A New York Media Platform Built to Inform, Connect and Elevate
The New York Globe was created around a simple belief: the stories a society chooses to amplify help shape the society it becomes.
At a time when much of the media landscape is driven by conflict, outrage and division, The New York Globe is building something different—a modern news and media platform committed to credible journalism while giving greater visibility to progress, innovation, leadership and the people working to make their communities better.
We believe serious journalism does not have to be cynical journalism.
There are consequential stories unfolding every day in business, technology, culture, philanthropy, science, leadership and communities around the world. Our mission is to cover those stories with intelligence and perspective while maintaining a distinctly human point of view.
From Los Angeles to New York
The New York Globe enters this new chapter with leadership connected to the team behind The Los Angeles Tribune, an independent, nonpartisan media organization whose modern mission has emphasized positive and empowering journalism alongside news, business, leadership, culture and community storytelling.
That philosophy has expanded beyond traditional reporting. The Los Angeles Tribune has developed initiatives centered on leadership, women’s voices, film, publishing and global social impact—including media partnerships designed around kindness and constructive cultural influence.
Now, we are bringing that same commitment to New York—one of the world’s great centers of journalism, finance, business, culture, creativity and ideas.
But The New York Globe is not intended to simply replicate what came before it.
New York deserves its own voice.
Our ambition is to build a publication that reflects the energy, diversity and global influence of the city while reaching far beyond its borders.
Journalism With a Constructive Purpose
Being positive does not mean ignoring difficult realities.
It means refusing to believe that conflict, scandal and tragedy are the only stories worthy of attention.
The New York Globe will report on what matters while also asking what is working, who is building, where progress is happening and which ideas deserve a larger audience.
We will spotlight entrepreneurs creating opportunity. Innovators solving difficult problems. Artists shaping culture. Business leaders building consequential organizations. Philanthropists strengthening communities. And ordinary people doing extraordinary things without expecting recognition.
Our editorial philosophy is grounded in four principles: truth without sensationalism, independence without unnecessary division, optimism without naivety, and journalism that recognizes our shared humanity.
We are not interested in telling readers what political tribe they should belong to.
We are interested in giving them something increasingly valuable:
a reason to remain informed without becoming hopeless.
New York at the Center. The World in View.
New York has always been more than a city.
It is a meeting place for cultures, industries, ambitions and ideas.
The New York Globe intends to reflect that position—covering New York while maintaining a global perspective across business, innovation, culture, leadership and human progress.
Our purpose is not to add more noise to an already crowded media environment.
It is to build a platform people can trust, discover remarkable individuals through and return to because it leaves them better informed about the world—and more optimistic about what can still be accomplished within it.
We believe kindness is newsworthy.
Progress is newsworthy.
Innovation is newsworthy.
Human achievement is newsworthy.
And bringing people together is still a worthwhile ambition for a media organization.
This is journalism with perspective. This is news with heart. This is The New York Globe.
